PRESSING JIG - PRESSEE PM-19

When adhering a strain gauge to a specimen, it is necessary to press the strain gauge until the adhesive hardens. PRESSEE not only applies pressure (PRESS) on the strain gauge, but is also a pressing jig allowing a strain gauge to be checked visually (SEE) from the clear pressing portion. Using PRESSEE saves time in having to keep pressing with the fingers, and a constant pressure on a strain gauge allows stable adhesion quality. The position of the strain gauge, flow of the adhesive, and other aspects can also be checked visually while pressure is applied.

These are strain gauges developed for measurement on composite materials, and are designed with a proprietary special grid pattern to reduce the stiffening effect of the strain gauges. Owing to the development of gauge backing with better compliance, the number of repetitions in thermal cycling tests and creep characteristics have been significantly improved compared to conventional strain gauges (Tokyo Measuring Instruments Laboratory comparison). Optional (-F) lead-free solder specifications are also available.

High Temperature Use Strain Gauge QF series

QF series strain gauges for high temperature use

These are foil strain gauges having a polyimide resin backing.  Strain measurement in high temperature is easily performed by bonding the strain gauge with room temperature curing adhesive NP-50B.  Strain gauges for stress concentration measurement or torque measurement are also available in addition to general use gauges in this series. 
New series of strain gauges named GOBLET are added to this series.  They are compliant with RoHS 2 Directive 2011/65/EU and supplied with CE marking.  Even though lead-free solder is used in the GOBLET gauges, they show better performance than conventional strain gauges owing to the adoption of unique gauge pattern.  Extension leadwires with CE marking are also available.
