TEDS is an abbreviation of Transducer Electronic Data Sheet, and it is a function to automatically read the parameters such as capacity and rated output of a strain gauge type transducer and perform the setting of the instrument. The parameters are stored in an IC chip integrated with the transducer, and the reading and setting are made quickly and accurately using a TEDS compatible instrument. The specifications of TEDS conform to the international standard IEEE1451.4, and setting and management of various transducers including strain gauge type transducers are possible under the same rule.
